Only compatible with automatic transmission vehicles manufactured for sale in the US and Canada.
⇒ Firmware pre-loaded: As part of the service MPC provides, we have already flashed the compatible firmware version and options into your EVO-ALL module for you so you are ready to begin the installation in the vehicle. You will need to program the module to the vehicle when the installation is complete.
General Information
• This is a pre-wired plug-and-play kit. No wire connections are required into the vehicle for basic installation.
• The FORT4 wiring harness includes a few loose wires. Depending on your choice of optional features, you may need up to two of these wires. The remaining wires can be cut short and taped up.
• This remote start will monitor the vehicle lock circuit and use the pulses generated by pressing Lock-Unlock-Lock on your OEM remote to start the vehicle. The operating range is determined by the current operating range of your OEM remotes. Adding the remote start will neither increase nor decrease that range.
• We have already loaded the correct firmware into the remote start module. You will need to pair the module to your vehicle when the wiring is complete.
• Any plugs or receptacles on your module(s) not specifically called out in these instructions are not used.

Wiring Overview
STEP 1: Preparation
⇒ Document service number: Take a picture of the metallic sticker on the back side of the EVO-ALL module brain as shown in the example below or write down the service number. Should you need tech support, this number will assist us in troubleshooting your kit. If you need to submit a help ticket, make sure to include the service number.
STEP 2: Wiring
2.1 Connect the Key Cylinder T-Harness
Locate the ignition key cylinder. In some vehicles it is located in the steering column and in others it is located in the dash. There are two plugs that need to be plugged in here.
• The smaller plug is the immobilizer connector and needs to be plugged in first.
Unplug the 4-pin plug located at the tip of the key cylinder and plug it into the female end of the T-Harness. Then, plug the male end of the 4-pin plug from the T-Harness into the empty immobilizer connector as shown below. Make sure the plugs are tight and secure.
• The larger plug is the ignition connector and needs to be plugged in second.
Unplug the larger 7-pin plug located at the end of the key cylinder and plug it into the female end of the T-Harness. Then, plug the male end of the 7-pin plug from the T-Harness into the empty ignition connector as shown below. Make sure the plugs are tight and secure.
2.2 - Connect the OBD2 T-Harness
Step 3: Optional Connections
3.1 Hood Pin
Optional Hood Pin or Toggle Switch
Most vehicles come equipped with a factory hood pin that is read by the EVO-ALL module. This is a safety feature - when the hood is open the remote starter will not activate. Here is how to tell if you have a factory hood pin:
• Dash cluster indicator light turns on when the hood is open.
• If there is no indicator, install and program the EVO-ALL module, then activate the remote starter. Once your vehicle is running, open the hood. If the engine shuts down, you have a factory hood pin.
• If you don't have a factory hood pin, we have included one with your kit that you can install. The remote start will work with or without it, but it is an important safety feature. If you don't have a hood pin and wish to install one click the link below.

STEP 4: Programming
4.1 Program the EVO-ALL
Programming the EVO-ALL is just like programming a spare key. The programing steps you are doing are simply Ford spare key programming. To program a spare key to the vehicle, it needs to see two different key codes to access the spare key program menu. A cloned or copied key will not work - the vehicle will think you are putting the same key back in twice. Following the three-second timing detailed below is very important.
Before starting the programming sequence, make sure that none of the connectors are plugged into the EVO-ALL. Instructions for programming the EVO-ALL are below. Here are a few important tips to help you avoid common mistakes:
4.2 Programming Troubleshooting Guide
If the red and blue LED does not flash there may be an issue with one or more of the following.
• The three-second timing was off. This must be followed if more than three seconds have passed between swapping the keys or turning the key on it will time out and you will need to start over.
TIP - Switch from key one to key two as fast as you can. Make sure you follow the three-second timing and not go over or under.
• You may have a cloned or copied key. The keys have a chip inside them that contains a code. From the factory, each vehicle has two coded keys. The program steps above the vehicle need to see both codes to program a new key code. A new key from a locksmith will not work. It must be from a dealership. It is very common for an owner to have a copied key if you are not the vehicle's original owner.
Tip - MPC140 vehicles are for older vehicles and in some instances can be programmed with one key and an updater (sold separately) and with different program directions. Contact MPC support for details.
• Make sure you hear the ding ding ding sound when you insert the key or it is not sensing the key in the ignition barrel.
Tip - Keep pressing in on the key when you insert and turn the key to make sure the vehicle sees the key in the ignition barrel. (bad or intermittent key sense is very common on ford vehicles)
If the blue LED does not flash there may be an issue with the following.
• There is an issue with the OBD2 T-Harness connection. A poor connection will affect the unit from programming or working properly.
Tip - Unplug both ends of the OBD2 T-Harness and plug both ends back in.
STEP 5: Test the system
Test the Remote Start System
Test the system to make sure everything is working properly before you close up the installation.
• With the key removed from the ignition, press the lock button, then unlock, and then lock again (lock-lock-lock for transit connect) on the vehicle factory remote. Timing is very important! Pressing the buttons too fast or too slow will not activate the system. The presses should be about 1 second apart. Lock 1000 Unlock 1000 Lock. When you press the buttons you will see the blue LED light up on the EVO-ALL. If you do not see the blue light when you press the lock button it did not recognize the lock button press. You should see (Lock) blue, (Unlock) blue-blue, (Lock) blue, then the EVO-ALL will turn red and then yellow. A few seconds later the gauges will power up and the parking lights (if connected) will flash, and a few more seconds later the vehicle will start.
• Make sure the vehicle stays running, and that the climate controls are working.
• The engine will remain running for 15 minutes or until the brake pedal is pressed. The remote start can be turned off by pressing the lock/unlock/lock buttons again on your factory remote.
Once you've completed testing the system, it's time to close it up.
Adding Optional Long-Range Controllers
This system can accept up to 4 RF remotes of the same type at a time. Only one controller type may be used by this system at a time. RF remotes will not work along with smartphone module. The vehicles OEM remotes will continue to work as normal with any external controller type.
Click the link below if you have or wish to order additional / replacement remotes or a different controller type including our smartphone interface module, and access complete instructions on how to connect and program each to this specific system:
• Once all wiring and programming are done, you should test the system to make sure everything is working properly before you finish up the installation.
1. Take all vehicle keys with you, and exit the vehicle. Make sure all doors and hood are closed.
2. Press the power button on the RFK411 remote for approximately three seconds and release to activate the remote start.
3. A few seconds later the vehicle gauges should power up. Then a few more seconds later the starter should crank and the engine turn on. Make sure the vehicle stays running at least a couple minutes, and that the climate controls are working. If the optional parking light wire is connected, the parking lights will turn on when the vehicle is remote started as a visual indicator. The engine will remain running for 15 minutes (default) or until it receives signal from a shutdown mechanism.
4. Enter the vehicle and step on the brake pedal.
5. Pressing the brake pedal is the shutdown mechanism in most applications. Opening a door, or pressing the pust-to-start button is the shutdown mechanism for some push-to-start vehicle applications (refer to KEY TAKEOVER section). Make sure the shutdown mechanism is working. The remote starter can also be shutdown by another three second press and release of the power button command from the RFK411 remote, or opening the hood.
• One quick half second press on the remote should lock the vehicle doors.
• Two quick half second presses in a row on the remote should unlock the vehicle doors.
* If your testing was unsuccessful, go back and re-check your wiring and programming. Make sure there are no bent pins or loose wires, and that all vehicle plugs you may have disconnected in the area you were working are properly re-connected. If you used T- Taps, make sure they are all attached correctly. Remember that T-Taps should never be used on data connections. Depending on the vehicle, those connections could be labeled Data, Can Hi, Can Low, IMMO, IMI, RX, TX or Passlock.
5.3 Connections needed when adding an RF or MyCar Kit
These connections are ONLY needed when connecting a MyCar kit or RF remotes and want to use the lock and unlock functions. For kits using the factory remote to activate the remote start skip these connections.
• Locate the loose wires on the T-Harness and connect as shown below.
STEP 6: Button it up
After confirming that everything works properly, cap off or tape the ends of any wires you’re not using to avoid grounding or other contacts.
• Now gather up all the wiring and neatly bundle it together using zip ties or electrical tape to prevent the wires from interfering with any of the moving parts under the dash.
• Test the system often when you are putting your vehicle back together.
• Find a secure place to put the remote start module and use zip ties to secure it. Be careful not to zip tie near your connections as it may create a bad connection.
• Replace any interior vehicle panels that were removed to gain access to the needed wires, in reverse order that they were removed.
• Test the system as you reinstall the panels in your vehicle to make sure you do not pull something loose or pinch a wire. Be careful not to run a screw through a wire or pinch a wire while reinstalling panels.
